Run Reports

September 13, 2006 - Traffic was halted at about 8:30 a.m. while the Eutaw Fire Department HazMat team identified the vapor that was pouring from a tanker that overturned on Interstate 29/59 near the 40 mile marker.

Traffic was detoured through Eutaw while the HazMat team took care of containing the spill.

July 12, 2006 - At 8:56 pm the Fire Department was notified by dispatch that there had been a report of a fire in a one story dwelling in Branch Heights. Upon arrival the preliminary search of the structure indicated that the fire had already been extinguished, but that there was still heavy smoke inside. After clearing the smoke, the attic and walls were searched for hotspots, but yielded none. The cause of the fire was an unattended candle in the bedroom.

The firefighters that responded to the scene were Bennie Abrams, Mike Abrams, Stanley Lucious, Hodges Smith, Jasper Means, Lester Cotton, Kenneth Thomas, Ronald K. Smith, Franklin Blackmon, Colin McRae, and Jason Dalton.


June 30, 2006 - The fire department received a call at about 10:30 pm on the 29th for a fire at an abandoned house on 4th Avenue.

When we arrived at the scene the house had nearly burned. The fire had then jumped to the two adjacent houses so then, instead of one house fire, we had three.

After about 3 1/2 hours we finally had all three extinguished. The firefighters on the scene were Bennie Abrams, Mike Abrams, Stanley Lucious, Hodges Smith, Jasper Means, Lester Cotton, Kenneth Thomas, Colin McRae, and Jason Dalton.


June 29, 2006 - At around 5 pm. Eutaw Fire responded to a small grass fire behind Sanders and Black apartment complex. We got the fire under control and quickly extinguished it.

The cause of the fire was unsupervised playing with fireworks. the firefighters who responded were Bennie Abrams, Mike Abrams, Hodges Smith, Colin McRae, and Jason Dalton.
